Young, Broke & Educated

Young, Broke, and Educated

Alexander Baima graduated college with $80,000 in student debt at the age of 23 from one of the top 25 business schools in America. After college he went to work as a financial planner and serviced fortune 500 clients. He created the financial plans that brokers took credit for, and while they grossed millions a year, he made minimum wage.

At 29, his parents had a house with an $80,000 mortgage and a child - and they lived on one income. At 29, Alexander still had over $50,000 in student debt. How could previous generations have so much more than most millennials who still struggle with little hope for the future?

Young, Broke and Educated investigates the decline of purchasing power among young people, especially over the last generation. It explores in basic, easy to understand terms, how economic systems have evolved to hinder the financial success of millennials and the incentives that government, big business and banks have to prevent progressive change.

Alexander Baima, a master in the field of eCommerce and early adopter of blockchain technology, walks you through, step-by-step, what the issues are and what needs to change to ensure that millennials and future generations have access to the same type of success that previous generations took for granted.

Undomesticated: She Had No Remorse

Undomesticated:

She Had No Remorse

A small Nebraska town is terrorized by a serial killer who targets young “good” girls. The prime suspect disappears and may have himself become someone else’s victim.
Warren Steelgrave has just written a best-selling novel and gained further nationwide notoriety when he narrowly escaped being murdered at his daughter’s wedding. The local Nebraska town newspaper hires Warren as an investigative reporter because of his unique insights and his uncanny instinct for finding the truth. More papers will be sold and more eyes will be focused on the town’s plight.
In this third novel in the Steelgrave series, author and photographer Gary Smith takes us another thought provoking journey with surprising twists and suspense filled alleyways. Smith’s alter ego, Warren Steelgrave, explores the psyche of an “undomesticated” killer who acts without remorse. Warren soon realizes that he shares many traits with the killer. It is a fine line that makes his own “willingness” to do what is necessary actually be socially acceptable.
Warren’s romantic kindred spirit, Cindy O’Brien, has been living her life separate; writing songs and performing them across the country. She suddenly joins Warren in Nebraska to escape a deadly stalker. The readers of Smith’s first two books know that Warren will never leave that “stone unturned”.
The varied character plots intertwine as the story unfolds. The reader is challenged to confront their own human nature and how they might react given a challenge outside their moral comfort zone. This latest adventure has an ending that won’t be decided by a jury.

Submarine Expedition

Submarine Expedition:

Earth’s global ocean covers seventy percent of its surface. Its average depth is two point three miles. There are deep-sea trenches consuming tectonic plates. There are mid-ocean rifts producing new bedrock. Some experts consider the ocean more hostile than space. Admiral Martin is fond of saying: “The sea will get you if it can.”
There is a place north of the Artic circle; about two hundred miles south of the North Pole and roughly three miles below the polar ice cap, where hydrothermal water percolates through newly formed ocean crust. Where mineral precipitates have built a kingdom of towers, spires, and bridges. A kingdom where giant blood-red tubeworms and foot long shrimp thrive, and an ancient dragon returns to life after a million years sleep.
In more southern waters, industrialist and marine explorer, Admiral William Martin, has embarked on a three-month expedition to a mid-ocean rift beneath the Arctic ice cap. Critical to the success of this mission is his submarine Expedition. Expedition is an extraordinary nuclear powered research vessel that can make five thousand feet depth-to-keel. It has transparent titanium-aluminum windows, an active camouflage system, and seven sonar systems. It carries drilling equipment, a diving bell, an exploratory submersible that can walk over coalescing lava flows, and three minisubs. Admiral Martin is prepared for anything the sea can throw at him. Or so he thinks.
After discovering a mineral treasure trove of precious metals and rare earth elements, escaping from a deep-sea dragon by the skin of its teeth, and while his science team is still examining core samples, a call comes in from the Navy. “Bill, we need your help.”
Cetaceans are beaching themselves in large numbers on New Jersey shores, and one of the Navy’s submarines is missing.
Will Expedition and his crew figure out why the whales are grounding themselves and why the Navy’s submarine is missing?
